We appreciate your generous donations anytime of year.

Thank you so much for your continued support.

Who we are

Composed of eight adult volunteers and two student representatives from each grade in Hastings High School, the Hastings Youth Council oversees the work of a professional staff which directs the Youth Advocate Program and Youth Employment Services as well as runs many other programs that offer enrichment or support services for our most needy youth. The Council is appointed by the mayor and Board of Trustees while working in partnership with the Village Government and the School District.

What we do

The Hastings Youth Council provides support and resources to the youth of our community and their families by maintaining community outreach programs, drug prevention and anti-bullying programs in our schools, counseling for youth and families, volunteer and job opportunities for youth, as well as offering a safe haven for children of all ages. The Youth Council is our local safety net to help children and families in need and to further enrich lives by demonstrating to them our deep commitment and compassion .

Where we are

The Youth Services Director and Youth Advocate maintain their office space in the lower level of the:

James V. Harmon Community Center at 44 Main Street, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706.

Many of the programs supported by the Youth Council  take place at the Community Center and at other local venues. The Youth Advocate Program oversees after-school activities at the Community Center including recreational programs, homework help, computer time and classes such as cooking, art, and exercise.

The Who, What, and Where

How to contact us

Please feel free to contact us through the Youth Services Office at 914-478-2471, by e-mail at hastingsyouthcouncil@gmail.com

or on social media (facebook and instagram). You can also send us a message via our website or contact us directly by email by pressing the button below. You may also contact us in person through the Youth Services Office in the Community Center Lower Level.

How to get involved

Join our Youth Council board, volunteer in one of our programs, help organize a new project, sponsor a needy child via Help-a-Child, donate food supplies to our pantry, offer fresh ideas, or let us know about someone or a family in need. It literally "takes a village" to show interest, to care, and to invest in the future of our young people. Only in this way can they transform into productive and contented adults and ensure all of our futures.

How to help

We cannot do our good work without your help. Please give of your time, give a teenager a job, or give financially so that we can continue to offer our many services. Come and be a part of a truly caring community.
